Welcome to ALKEMIA
Transform!
Up to the present, the concept and connotation of Alchemy has
undergone a divergence of perception,
while steadfast groups and individuals preserve the traditional principles. In
one direction this divergence
leads to complete ridicule of a pursuit having the sole intent of transmuting
Lead into Gold; in the other is a
nostalgic appropriation of the term, often in a commercial appellation for a
product having seeming magical
qualities or capabilities.
With this publication we will seek to restore some balance in the public eye
and invite you to join and
evolve in Alchemy as we evolve and grow ourselves. We will be presenting
articles and information on both
spiritual and practical alchemy as new realizations become available.

A note
about our masthead banner:
The primary colors in the letters are inspired by the 3 primary pigment colors,
representing the Tria Prima,
and also the original colors on the Greek temples. The yellow squiggles happen
to pay homage to the serpents in Egyptian hieroglyphics and the Egyptian origin
of the word al khemia.
The emblem at left is a painting, 'Ouroboros Marriage Mandala', by Brenda
Clews. This shows two winged
orobouros figures embracing the Sun, with the Earth above their heads. This Sun
can also be seen as Moon, since the background is the Sun set in a 4-square
quadrant.
At the next level, the tone of this banner recalls the U.S. Native
American woodlands tribes.
